Youth
Regular physical activity in young people is associated with improved learning, better mental health, healthier weight status and better cardiovascular fitness. At a time when the population is being asked to stay at home, finding ways to keep teenagers and young adults physically active without breaking any rules can be difficult.
The government recommends that children and young people aged five to 18 years engage in two types of physical activity every week: aerobic exercises and activities that strengthen muscles and bones.
Take a look at the suggestions below for ideas, videos and tips from ourselves and our partners on how you can stay active as a teenager/young adult and still have fun at the same time.
Our pools are back open as soon as they are permitted to be if you fancy a swim, and if you are over 18 you can also join the gym when we re-open too.
