About the role
To support the centre Management in increasing revenue and usage. Maintain good observation over the pool and ice on a day to day basis, communicating effectively with all pool and ice users, colleagues and other staff throughout the building whilst having an awareness of problems and preventing accidents. To carry out daily cleaning and tidying of the pool and ice, poolside and all dry-side areas ensuring a customer friendly workforce and facility at all times. To cover other areas of the facility as and when required whilst also being part of the Leisure team. As a Trainee Duty Manager you will also gain relevant experience and qualifications to enable you to develop and progress your career with DCLT into management. Once trained and competent you will be expected to cover Duty Manager Shifts when required.
37 hours per week across 7 days
You will be confident and self-motivated with a passion for the health, fitness and leisure industry with excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach. You will hold a current Pool lifeguard qualification which is an essential requirement of this role; it is also advantageous to hold a current First aid at Work qualification and National Pool Plant or a willingness to gain these. You will have experience of working to targets and posses the skills to prioritise work loads, manage time and work to deadlines whilst being committed to best practice, continuous improvement and with a positive approach to customer care.
