BOOKING

How do I book on to a gym session?

Gym sessions can be booked using the same system you will have used to book onto a fitness class in the past.

Bookings Site

To book, you will need your unique member pin and ID. Don’t worry, if you have misplaced yours, we will be emailing out reminders to all members who's email address we already have over the next few days.

If we don't have your email address on file, we will be unable to send you your details. However, fill out your details in the form below and we'll send you your login details to your email

REQUEST YOUR LOGIN DETAILS

DCLT would like to update contact preferences of all of our customers and members. We would like to send you important information relating to your membership, as well as special offers, promotions and news which will be of interest to you. Please select Yes in the boxes below to give consent for this information to be sent to you.

How far in advance can I book?

You will be able to book your sessions 7 days in advance.

Why do I only have an hour to train?

In order to give all members fair usage and access to the gym, it is necessary for us to implement a session-based programme. This also allows us to build in adequate time for cleaning all equipment thoroughly between sessions.

How many sessions can I book at one time?

Due to the reduced capacity, we will be restricting bookings to only one visit per day.

We also ask that members be considerate to their fellow members during this time and if they are able to visit during quieter times, then please do so.

We will be closely monitoring attendance to ensure fair usage for all members. Repeated failure to attend booked slots may lead to booking restrictions being temporarily placed on a users account.

Will there be a queue to enter the venue?

We will ensure that the doors to facilities are opened promptly at the allotted start time for your chosen session.

To enable us to maintain the correct capacity and ensure that the area is appropriately sanitised between each session, we will not be able to allow access any earlier.

Therefore, there may be a short queue at the start of each session. Please do not arrive too earlier prior to your session starting.

VENUES, FACILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Why are you not opening all of your gyms?

The varying shapes and sizes of our venues means that it is not practical to put safe social distancing measures in place and would make it difficult to follow the current government guidelines.

For the safety of our staff and customers, only venues where we can ensure social distancing can be practiced will reopen in this first phase.

My gym isn’t reopening, can I still use the other gyms?

Yes, but you will need to arrange for your membership to be unfrozen first.

If you pay by direct debit, then you will be able to do this yourself using a quick and easy tool from our Direct Debit partner. You will receive information about how to do this over the next few days.

If you are an annual member and have already paid upfront, then you will need to get in touch using the form below and we’ll unfreeze your membership for you. We will also add on additional time to the end of your annual membership so that you do not miss out on the time lost due to closure.

Unfreeze Your Account

Why are there no fitness classes?

We want to make sure that everyone visiting our venues is able to do so in a safe way. For the protection of staff and customers we are taking a phased approach to opening. The first phase is to open a number of our gyms. We will not open additional fitness spaces until we feel that it is safe to do so with the relevant social distancing measures in place.

Will I be able to use the changing room, lockers or toilets?

Unfortunately not. Changing rooms & lockers will not be available for use during this phase to reduce contact points. There will be a single toilet at each site available for emergency use only. We would encourage all visitors to come ready for your activity and shower when you return home.

Small valuables should be kept with you. Bulkier items should not be brought into the venue but left at home where possible. If this is not possible, then they will need to remain with you at all times.

Will Steam rooms and Saunas be re-open?

Unfortunately not. Due to the small size of these spaces, it will not be possible to practise social distancing. Only facilities where we can ensure social distancing can be practised will reopen in this first phase.

What sanitising provisions will there be?

Hand sanitiser gel will be available throughout all venues, all visitors to the venues are encouraged to use this regularly.

There will also be numerous, clearly marked cleaning stations throughout the gyms which visitors can use to wipe down equipment before and after use.

Visitors are encouraged to wipe down their own equipment and we will also have sanitation officers in all gyms to ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitised.

There will also be time between each session where every piece of equipment is sanitised.

Will the gym have all the same equipment and layout?

No, we have had to reduce the amount of equipment available and adjust layouts so that appropriate distance is maintained between users.

Can I train with a member of my family?

Whilst family members from the same household do not need to socially distance from each other, we ask that all users of the gyms to do continue to train separately as it is not always easy for staff to identify who is and who isn’t a member of the same family or household.

Can I attend with my carers?

Yes, but please ensure all social distancing measures are adhered.

MEMBERSHIP

I am not a member, will there be a pay and play use option?

Unfortunately, not, we are pleased to be able to open to welcome our members back and at this time we want to ensure that they have the opportunity to access all of the available exercise slots. This means that we will not be introducing access for non-members at this time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we’ll review this after a few weeks.

Even though sites are open can I continue to freeze my membership?

Under certain circumstances, it may be possible for you to extend the freeze on your membership. An assessment will be made on all requests in line with normal procedure, as set out in the terms and conditions of all memberships.

If you feel that your individual circumstances may require an extension to your membership freeze, then please get in touch using the form below to apply. Please note, if you are a member who is registered at one of the sites which aren't planned to reopen during this first phase, then you do not need to do anything, your membership will remain frozen for now.

You can rest assured though that when sites do reopen, the measures that we will have in place will ensure it is a safe place to visit for all customers, members and employees alike.

Request an Extension to Freeze Your Membership

I have an annual membership that I paid up front for. Will I be reimbursed for the time lost due to closure?

Your membership will be extended by the length of time the facilities have been close for.

If you are a member at one of the sites that is planned to reopen in the first phase, then this will be done automatically for you.

If you are a member at one of the sites that isn’t opening during this first phase, then your membership will remain frozen, either until more sites open, or until you choose to unfreeze your membership. At that point, we will add on the appropriate length of time to your membership to ensure that you do not miss out on time lost due to closure.

Are Youth members allowed access to the Gym?

Unfortunately not. At this stage, to ensure the safety of all visitors, and to ensure that we can adhere to the social distancing requirements, we will not be able to allow Youth members to visit the gym.

All Youth members will remain frozen.

Youth Plus (18+) Members will be unfrozen and will be able to access the gym.
