We are now in Step 2 of the Roadmap out of lockdown.

Following the latest government announcement, we are pleased that we are now within step 2 of the roadmap out of lockdown.

For DCLT customers this means that on April 12 we reopened four of our fitness village areas and six of our pools.

As you know, a number of venues were able to reopen on March 29, activities at these facilities will continue to take place: Crookhill Park Golf Course, Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre – for open water swimming, the Cycle Track at The Dome, and our outdoor pitches, for organised coaching sessions, at Adwick Leisure Complex and Dearne Valley Leisure Centre.

The fitness villages that opened on 12 April are:

· Adwick Leisure Complex

· Balby Leisure Centre

· Dearne Valley Leisure Centre

· Doncaster Dome

Memberships were unfrozen on April 12 and direct debits will start to be taken from May 8.

The pools that have reopened are:

· Adwick Leisure Complex

· Dearne Valley Leisure Centre

· Doncaster Dome

· Thorne Leisure Centre

Pools that have for club swimming and education swimming only are:

· Edlington Leisure Centre

· Rossington Community Swimming Pool

A communication to parents whose children have swimming lessons with DCLT has been sent out. If you have not had any contact from us, please get in touch.

In addition to the return to exercising in gyms and swimming, public sessions are now available at the outdoor pitches at Adwick Leisure Complex and Dearne Valley Leisure Centre. Cyclists will soon be able to book spaces at the cycle track at Doncaster Dome and the Skate Park at Adwick Leisure Centre will also reopen in due course.

Exercise classes can not take place at this stage but our healthy at home live and on demand sessions will continue to take place. We have also added some new evening classes to our online offering which have been very popular.

Social distancing and other safety measures will remain in place as we all have a part to play in reducing the spread of the virus.

This means that:

· All visits will require advanced booking through the DCLT website

· All sessions will have reduced capacities to enable social distancing to be maintained

· Gym changing facilities will remain closed during the initial reopening stage

· Swimming changing facilities will be open, however where possible we encourage all users to arrive swim-ready to limit their time in the changing facilities.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to these activities in a safe and socially distanced way.

As we work towards all these key dates, we will continue to keep members and customers up to date with further details over the coming weeks.

We know that there will be lots of questions about how and when we reopen our venues, so we have prepared a series of Frequently Asked Questions, aimed at providing all the information you will need to know.

You can view these FAQs below.

This latest lockdown period has been difficult for many people and we are pleased that our Healthy at Home online content has helped to keep you exercising.

We know that many of you cannot wait to come back to our DCLT venues and activities and it will be great to see you enjoying the first phase of golf, cycling, football and open water swimming.
