The AquaPark

How do I book the AquaPark?

You can book your time slot on the AquaPark by clicking the links above which will take you directly to the AquaPark booking page.

What happens if it is bad weather on the day of my booking?

Wind and Rain should not affect your enjoyment of the AquaPark. However, if there is a severe weather warning and it is unsafe to operate we will let you know.

What happens if I am late for my time slot?

We ask that you arrive 1 hour before your booked time slot to give you chance to get changed and attend the safety briefing. If you miss the safety briefing we will not be able to allow you on to the water, and we cannot guarantee there will be spaces on the next slot.

I can no longer attend my session, can I change it to another day/time?

If you give us plenty of notice we will try and accommodate this, but it would be subject to availability.

I have my own wetsuit, can I bring it?

You are welcome to bring your own wetsuit. We ask that it has passed European Safety Standards and that it fits you well. There is no discount for bringing your own wetsuit, our price is "all in" so you would still pay the same if you brought your own.

I don't want to wear a wetsuit, can I just wear my usual swimming clothes?

No. You must wear a wetsuit. Wearing a wetsuit is part of our policy to keep you safe in the water.

Can I wear water shoes on the inflatable?

No shoes are allowed on the inflatable. This includes anything with a sole. Waterproof neoprene socks are permitted but ONLY if they do NOT have soles on them.

My friends and family would like to watch me but don't want to go on the inflatable - is there somewhere they can sit?

Can they get a drink?

Yes, they are very welcome. We have outdoor seating next to the lake where they will be able to watch you. There is also an onsite snack cabin serving hot food and a variety of drinks.

Please note all children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult on the water.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are allowed on site as long as they are kept on a lead.

Is there anywhere to get changed?

Due to the current Covid restrictions, we are unable to offer indoor changing facilities or showers. We ask that you arrive BEACH READY - so have your swimming clothes on underneath your regular clothes. When you arrive, you can take your top layer off and get into your wetsuit. After your time on the AquaPark, there is plenty of space outside for you to get dry and changed within your group.

Do I need to wear a mask? Is there social distancing in place?

You do not need to wear a mask when you are outside, but we do ask you to wear a mask in our onsite shop. This is also our reception areas so whoever made the booking needs to bring a mask to enter this area. 

We ask that you stick to social distancing as advised by the current regulations, which are to stay 2m apart if you can, and alwasy 1m apart if this is not possible. There is planety of space for you to stay within your group and all our outdoor seating areas are spaced nicely apart.

How are the wetsuits and buoyancy aids cleaned?

All our wetsuits and buoyance aids are cleaned and rotated between each time slot. We have a large stock of these items to ensure that this is possible and all hired equipment is cleaned before it is used again.

The Campsite

I don't need electricity, can I book a non-electric pitch?

All our pitches are complete with electricity. If you don't want to use it you don't have to, but the price is the same.

Can I bring my van/caravan?

Yes, all forms of camping accommodation are welcome. Please note that we do not allow gazeboes or event shelters.

How many cars can I bring?

1 vehicle is permitted per pitch booking, and you can park it on your pitch.

What time can I check-in and check out?

Check-in on arrival day is from 12noon. Our gates close at 10 pm. If you are arriving late please try and let us know by telephone or email so we can prepare for this.

Check out on departure day is 11 am prompt to allow us to prepare your pitch for the next guest.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead.

Can I come as a group of adults?

We are a family oriented site therefore we do not allow groups of more than 3 adults per party.

Is there a campsite shop?

Yes, we have a brand new fully stocked shop on site selling a variety of food items, drinks, ice creams, camping essentials, toileteries and children's toys.

Boat & Craft Hire

What boats and craft are available to hire?

We currently Kayaks, Canadian Canoes and Katakanu's available for hire. You can find more information about each type of craft here.

Can I bring my own craft?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own craft and pay a charge simply for using our lake. We request evidence of your insurance and this must comply with British Canoeing regulations.

Will I be given a lifejacket?

Yes, all buoyancy aids are provided.

How old do children have to be to go on the boats?

There is no minimum age for children to experience boating on the lake, as long as they are able to sit up and the equipment fits them safely.

Children under 8 must be in a craft with a responsible adult.

Children age 8-12 years must have an adult on the water with them but this can be in separate boats.

Children age 12 - 15 years may explore the lake on their own but must have an adult supervising from the lakeside.
