Crookhill Improvements Update

Natural Flood Management works at Crookhill

We are delighted to let you know that the National Flood Management Scheme works at Crookhill Park Golf Course is scheduled to begin on Monday, 21st September.

Whilst we sincerely apologise for the temporary disruption, these works are necessary for Crookhill and the local area.

Here are the key details and schedule:

Phase one: 21st September

• Digging of the main attenuation pond on the 18th hole
• Dredging of the 'lake' by the 11th hole

This phase will take up to four weeks

During this phase:

Car Park Access:

The one-way system to the car park will be reversed (Signage will be in place for this).

Course Protection:

Boarding is being used for areas of the course where silt is being transported to avoid major course damage.

Impact on Play:

During this phase given the impact on most of the back 9 holes only holes 1 - 9 will be in play.

Players can book the front nine and if they wish to play eighteen holes then they can book the front nine again.

The hire of buggies will work in the same way, bookable for each nine holes.

Phase two:

This phase will commence once the pond by the 11th has been dredged.

Once phase two commences additional holes on the back nine will be reopened and car park access can return to its current flow.

Work during this period:

Continuation of the digging of the pond on the 18th hole.

Commencement of the pond between the 10th green and 11th tee. These will be unaffected during this period due to protection in place for golfers and contractors.
