Swimming Terms & Conditions

Admissions , Health & Safety and Refund Policies.

All customers swimming must adhere to the admission policy for that centre

Swimming Admission Policy for all Centres (excluding the Dome)

CHILDREN UNDER 8
Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by a swimming adult on 2 children to 1 adult basis
CHILDREN UNDER 4
Children under 4 years old must be accompanied by a swimming adult on a 1 child to 1 adult basis.


The only exception is two children under 4 years can be accompanied by an adult on a 2 to 1 basis, if both children are wearing armbands or other approved buoyancy aids and remain in the designated non-swimmer areas of the pool.


A weak or non-swimmer is defined as any child who does not hold or meet the criteria of the ASA/ISRM Pool Swimming Standard Award.
Weak or non-swimmers are restricted to the designated non-swimmer areas of the pools which are the small pool and shallow end of the main pool.


Anyone with known medical conditions, or accompanying anyone with medical conditions, that may affect their safety, should inform the lifeguard on duty.


Customers with epilepsy must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 16 and over) on a one to one basis. They should inform the lifeguard on duty.

The Doncaster Dome

Admission Policy for the Dome

Big Splash
1. Children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by a responsible person (aged 16 or over) on a one to one basis.
2. Children aged 4 - 7 years must be accompanied by a responsible person (aged 16 or over) on a maximum ratio of one adult to two children.

Other swimming at The Dome (when it is NOT a Big Splash session)
1. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible person (aged 16 or over) on a maximum ratio of one adult to two children.

Refund Policy for Big Splash Swimming

Cancellations made more than 48 before a session is due to commence will be eligible for a full refund.

Any cancellations made less than 48 hours before a session is due to commence will be eligible to transfer to another sessions.

Fitness class cancellations and charges

Isn’t it frustrating when you can’t get a place in your favourite fitness class? Even more so when you find out that space was available because someone booked but didn’t turn up, or cancelled at the very last minute! It may shock you to learn that across DCLT we have hundreds of such occurrences every week. That’s a lot of people missing out on the chance to enjoy the brilliant buzz of group exercise!

Refund policy for Fitness Classes

Members can manage their bookings within the booking system, including cancelling and moving a booking.

Pay as you go customers can transfer their booking to another day/time if more than 2 hours before the session is due to commence. Please call 01302 370777 to arrange this. No refunds are available for PAYG customers.

1.1. Your membership will begin on the day you join.

1.2. When paying by Direct Debit, an initial payment will be required to cover the period up to your first DD payment.

1.3. When paying for a Paid in Full Membership, Your payment is made immediately for a period of 12 months, however you are only charged for 11 months of that specific membership package price.

1.4. Your membership is personal to you. You cannot transfer it to another person.

1.5. Reciprocal use is available across all open DCLT sites.

1.6.Vital memberships allow access from the centre opening until 4pm and anytime on a weekend.

1.7.Vital membership is only available to customers over 60yrs old or people who are registered disabled. Proof of entitlement to be sent to us as soon as possible.

Fees

2.1. You must pay a monthly or Paid In Full Membership, each of which will be determined by your chosen membership package.

2.2. Monthly instalments will be due on the date you have selected or the next available working day by Direct Debit.

2.3. We may change the amount of your monthly payments. If we do we will write to you at the address you have given us 14 days before the changes take place.

2.4. Monthly fees are payable even if you do not use all centres/classes.

2.5. All public holidays are inclusive of your membership price.

2.6 Should a Youth member turn 16 years old during their membership they will be subject to a rolling monthly direct debit payment plan and automatically change to Choose Wellbeing membership and the monthly membership fees will be altered in accordance with the membership rates in place at their local club. However a letter giving 14 days notice will be given.

Cancelling Your Membership

3.1. Memberships cannot be cancelled prior to the agreed length, you can cancel your membership by giving notice of one month

(representing one further Direct Debit Payment) in writing to Debit Finance (e-mail info@debitfinance.co.uk). Contact Debit Finance

Memberships taken out before or during the Covid-19 pandemic can be cancelled at any time.

3.2. Your limited rights to cancel still apply should you have a Paid in Full membership and wish to cancel.

3.3. You understand that you have a right to terminate your agreement within the first 10 days of the commencement of this agreement.

3.4. Once you have received confirmation of your cancellation request and your last payment has been taken it is your responsibility to ensure the direct debit is cancelled with your bank.

3.5 Limited Right to cancel:

3.5.1 If we fail to maintain the standard of service you would reasonably expect.

3.5.2 If we alter the operating hours of the service unreasonably.

3.5.3 If you develop a medical condition which prevents you from using the services on an ongoing basis an appropriate medical practitioner must provide written evidence that this is so.

3.5.4 If you move away from the area by a distance which we consider, at our sole discretion, to be too far to travel to the services for regular use. We shall require evidence that such a move has taken place.

3.5.5 If you lose your employment and are unable to keep up the repayments as a result, you must produce documentary evidence and initially we shall be prepared to suspend payments for two months and review with you your financial situation thereafter.

3.3.6 Swimming lesson memberships can not be frozen or suspended due to circumstances such as injury, sickness and holidays.

Crookhill Golf Club Rules.

4.1. You must comply with the centre and course rules/etiquette which forms part of this agreement.

4.2. We may change the rules/etiquette at any time. We will post notice of any changes at the centre or around the course.

4.3. All persons on The Course must be in possession of a ticket issued by Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust and in possession of a minimum set of 4 clubs and a Bag.

4.4. The maximum number of players is 4 playing together.

4.5. No single golfer will be allowed to use his own tee during busy periods such as weekends and bank holidays.

4.6 We reserve the right to close at anytime, for any reason. Restrictions can apply to all golfers –these could include full or partial Course closure, limited play to protect the Course, temporary tees and greens and maintenance work. Bad weather through November to March is inevitable and playing restrictions are considered to be an acceptable part of playing winter golf. It is not an attainable target for our Course to be open all the year but we do strive to extend the amount of play possible. Season tickets holders must adhere to the local course rules, regulations, and all reasonable instructions from officials.

Changing the Agreement.

5.1. We can change the agreement at any time. We will give you 14 day’s notice of this change in writing at the address you have given us.

Facilities

6.1. You are entitled to use the facilities available for your category of membership package.

6.2. You may have to pay additional charges to use certain other facilities/activities at the Centre/course. You can get a list of these from our reception points. We can change these prices at any time.

6.3. Before using any health and fitness centre’s equipment you must read and sign the Health Commitment Statement and have a supervised induction session. We can refuse access to the centres facilities if we consider your health maybe adversely affected by the use of such facilities. In such circumstances you will be referred to your GP.

6.4. Facilities may open/close earlier during public holiday periods. Facilities may also close for occasional special events. Notices will be displayed in the centre in advance notifying customers of any changes. No refunds will be available for these periods.

6.5. We may change the centres opening times or withdraw any of the centres at any time if we need them for events, tournaments, exhibitions or other special activities.

6.6. We may need to close a facility or part of it for repair/refurbishment on the grounds of health and safety or mproving customer service. Fitness classes may also have to be cancelled due to unforeseen instructor unavailability. In the above circumstances we will use our best endeavours to:

6.6.1. Give as much notice as is reasonably practicable by displaying notices in the centre.

6.6.2. Arrange for alternative facilities during a period of closure.

6.7. Your membership does not give you priority over other users or guarantee the availability of facilities.

6.8. Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust management reserve the right to change the activity programme.

Prior notice will be given in the centre relating to activity cancellations or the introduction of new sessions.

6.9. Promotions do not apply to existing members.

6.10. Swimming is available during public sessions only. Big Splash sessions are not included in any memberships.

6.11 Customers are to be aware that there are supervised Youth Fitness sessions being delivered at all sites at selected times, the times will be displayed within sites.

6.12. Customers using Rossington Community Sports Village should be aware that there is supervised school use between 08.00 – 17.30 Monday-Fridays, term time only.

6.13. Members who use multi sites will require a familiarisation session at each Centre.

Membership Cards.

7.1. You must swipe your membership card at respective entry points when accessing facilities; otherwise we may refuse entry.

7.2. All members must have their photograph taken for identification purposes; this will be stored on Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust database. This information will solely be used by Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust and will not be released to any third parties.

7.3. If you lose your membership card we will charge a fee to replace it.

Junior Members and Children.

8.1. If you are 0 -17 (inclusive) your parent or guardian must sign the agreement on your behalf. By signing this agreement your parent or guardian agrees to be responsible for your behaviour and actions at all times and to payus any amounts that are due on your behalf.

8.2. When you reach 16, your agreement will end and you will automatically and immediately become a Youth + member paying the associated full member rate, however, the agreement remains with the parent or guardian until you are a minimum of 18 years old.

8.3 Youth Fitness is available for people aged 11 to 15 years old.

8.4 Youth Fitness members must have their membership agreed by a parent/guardian and must undertake an induction upon joining.

 8.5 Youth Fitness members are only permitted to use equipment highlighted by safe to use stickers and that Youth Members have been safely and correctly shown how to use.

8.7. Youth Fitness members are prohibited from using free weights and Cable equipment.

8.8. By using any facility, the member is deemed to be fit and able to participate in the activities offered. If in doubt, it is the responsibility of the member and their parent or guardian to seek advice from their GP or other medical practitioner before using any facility or participating in any activity.

8.9. Where taking part in any physical activity the member is responsible for monitoring their own physical condition throughout their use of our facility. In the event of any unusual symptoms occurring, the Youth Fitness member should inform a member of our staff immediately.

8.10. The Youth Fitness member must use the equipment and facilities in the correct manner according to instructions and/or induction training; the member must not use the same in any manner which constitutes a health and safety risk either to themselves or to others. We are not responsible for any injury or loss the member may suffer as a consequence of misuse of the any equipment, or of any health condition they may have.

8.11. The drop off and collection is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian.

8.12. Members are able to book on to Youth Fitness activities one week in advance. Sessions are run on a first come first serve basis.

Events

Conditions of Sale

  1. The Management reserves the right to refuse admission or to eject a ticket holder for behaviour likely to cause damage, injury, nuisance or annoyance or failure to comply with the reasonable requests of the Management.
  2. If admission is refused no monies shall be refunded.
  3. It is the Responsibility of the purchaser to check all tickets at the time of purchase or on arrival (by post).
  4. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase, except in the case of a materially altered or cancelled performance / event. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  5. This ticket must not be sold or resold without the express permission from the Promotor of the event.
  6. Any complaints about a ticket holders ability to view the event shall be made to the Promoter/Manager promptly prior to or during the event.
  7. Latecomers will only be admitted to the auditorium during a suitable break in the performance.
  8. The event promoter / management reserves the right to amend or make alterations to the published details of the event as shall become necessary.
  9. Neither the promoter nor the management accepts responsibility for personal property brought into the venue unless caused by the negligence of the promoter or venue management.
  10. All ticket prices quoted by the Doncaster Dome Box Office are for tickets purchased in advance of the performance or event. The promoter reserves the right to change the price.
  11. Processing fees will not be refunded in the event of cancellation or rescheduled performance.
  12. The unauthorised use of cameras, mobile phones, video or other form of recording is strictly prohibited.
  13. By entering the venue, you give your consent to being photographed or filmed as a member of the audience.
  14. Only food and drink purchased on the premises can be consumed in the venue.
  15. Age restriction - All under 14s must be accompanied by a paying adult unless stated differently
  16. Warning: Some concerts and events may contain sound levels which can cause injury to your hearing.
  17. Warning: Some concerts and events may contain strobe lighting.

Christmas Hospitality Box Competition 

  1. A full table of 10 must be purchased to qualify for entry into the competition.
  2. The table must be purchased between 5th & 16th November to qualify for entry into the competition.
  3. The winner can choose a box to any of our events, but these boxes are subject to availability.
