Whether you're looking to swim, play sport or stay active, we have something for everyone.

Our main swimming pool is ideal for lane swimming and casual sessions, while our teaching pool provides a welcoming environment for swimming lessons and younger swimmers.

Our newly renovated gym features a wide range of cardio, strength and functional training equipment to support your fitness, wellbeing and training goals. You can also enjoy a variety of instructor-led classes throughout the week in our dedicated group fitness studio.

Our spacious sports hall and all-weather artificial sports pitch host a wide range of activities, and our dedicated group fitness studio offers classes to suit all abilities. When you've finished, relax and refuel with a visit to our on-site café.

Our facilities include a range of accessibility features to help you make the most of your visit, whether you’re swimming, working out in the gym or taking part in activities.

Getting around the centre

We offer a range of accessible features to help you move around the centre, including:

Five dedicated accessible parking bays and three parent and toddler parking bays.
Step-free access throughout the building.
Ground-floor facilities, with no lift required.
An automatic main entrance door, with a doorway measuring 91cm wide.
Wheelchair access throughout the building.
A low-level reception desk for accessible customer service.
Assistance dogs welcome.

Accessible toilets and changing facilities

We provide accessible toilets, changing rooms and showers across the centre, including on both the wet and dry sides and within the gym changing areas.

Our facilities include:

Multiple accessible toilets throughout the building.
Accessible changing and shower facilities in the wet-side and dry-side changing areas.
A spacious accessible changing room within the main changing village.
An accessible toilet with a drop-down support rail, wall-mounted grab rails and a flush positioned on the transfer side.
An emergency alarm for added reassurance.
A manual hoist.
A height-adjustable, wall-mounted changing bench measuring 170cm in length.
A wheel-in shower with a flip-down seat and adjustable shower controls.

Changing Places facility

Our Changing Places facility is located externally at the rear of the building. It provides additional space and specialist equipment to support visitors with more complex needs.

Accessible facilities are also available within the main changing village, helping visitors find the support they need during their visit.

Accessible swimming

We want as many people as possible to enjoy swimming at Dearne Valley Leisure Centre.

The swimming pool is at deck level and can be accessed via steps or a modern pool pod, providing an assisted option for entering the water.

An accessible pool viewing area is also available, with a doorway measuring 91cm wide.
