- A weak or non-swimmer is defined as any child who does not meet the criteria of the ASA/ISRM Pool Swimming Standard Award.

Restricted items – Goggles- some types of goggles or face masks are not permitted
-
Use of masks which obscure the nose, as this may cause panic amongst untrained users, if they swallow water and find that they cannot breathe through their nose, this has resulted in accidents on a number of occasions across the industry with untrained and inexperienced users.
-
Masks which fit over the face can restrict the vision of the user, often to a narrow channel immediately in front of them, this can cause accidents and injuries to other users in the pool when the wearer collides with them or causes them to take evasive action.
-
It can be difficult for lifeguards to communicate with swimmers wearing this type of mask.
Restricted items – mobiles, cameras and recording equipment
- Please note that no photography or recording of any kind is permitted within the pool, viewing, or changing areas.
- Big Splash sessions are non-redundable.
- If you inform us 24 hours or more before the session is due to commence you will be eligible to transfer to another session, subject to availability.
