Five reasons to make a big splash at Doncaster Dome

Doncaster Dome is one of the region’s most loved sports, leisure and entertainment destinations with over 50 activities taking place under one roof. Here we explore the fun to be had in the pool.

We know that our magical seven pool water world is a firm family favourite with visitors from across Yorkshire but if you’ve never visited the Dome or haven’t been for a while here are five reasons why you should.

#One: Fun in the Pool

There is nothing better than seeing families spending time together having fun and that is what you see in our pools. Parents, siblings and extended family swimming, splashing, laughing and keeping fit.

Swimming is a great way to keep active while having fun and many people enjoy a weekly trip to the pools to do just that.

Our variety of sessions include the Big Splash which is totally geared towards family fun.

#Two: Slides

Our slides are a huge attraction for children and adults and the twists and turns mean than they range in speed so you can really build yourself up for the fast one!

The slides include The Falls, Serpent and The Blackhole, children have to be 1.2 meters tall to use the slides.

For some children, and most tweens, the slides make the experience and they love ours, which is why they come back time and time again.

#Three: Wild Waters

There is nothing nicer than venturing outside in the Wild Waters, the rapids are warm, fast and lots of fun, come rain or shine they are an experience not to be missed.

Swimming through the entrance is always a great experience as you find yourself outside and get into the flow of the Wild Waters, don’t worry they are heated!

#Four: Baby Pool

Start them early! Our baby pool is a great space for youngsters to get used to the water.

This is a lovely, quiet paddling area for little ones with a little climbing frame, water jets and fountains that capture the attention of babies and toddlers.

This area provide a great opportunity for parents to sit with their babies and young children as they enjoy the water, splashes and gain the confidence they need to graduate to the big pools.

#Five: Fountains, air beds and jacuzzi

If you want a more relaxing time in the water, head to the jacuzzi, sit back on the air beds and enjoy the fountains and jets.

These areas are great for a little time out from the hustle bustle and fun of the main leisure pools and give you a chance to recharge your batteries and get ready to do it all again!
