Dearne Valley Leisure Centre has a 25m pool and a teaching pool for lane swimming, recreational, and family swim sessions.

A swimming adult must accompany children under 8 years. All weak or non-swimmers must remain in the designated safe areas of the pool - depth level of 1.2m at all times

Improvement works at Dearne Valley Leisure Centre

The centre is undergoing essential improvement works from Monday 28th July, funded by the City of Doncaster Council.

Upgrades include:

  • New windows and doors

  • Car park improvements

  • Entrance refurbishment

  • Pool and plant upgrades

  • New lighting

Pools will be closed during this time. All swimming lessons and public swimming sessions will be cancelled. Other areas of the centre remain open. Other pools are available to swim during this closure period at Rossington, Armthorpe, Askern and Thorne.

Supervision Policy

Please familiarize yourself with our swimming supervision policy before entering the pool.

  • Children under 8 years must be accompanied by a swimming adult on a maximum of two children to one adult.
  • Children under 4 years must be accompanied by a swimming adult on one child to one adult basis.
  • All weak or non-swimmers must remain in the designated safe areas of the pool - depth level of 1.2m at all time
  • Inflatable sessions are for children and young people age 8-15 years only and you must be a competent swimmer to take part in this activity
