SWIMMING & SKATING T&C'S

ALL CUSTOMERS SWIMMING MUST ADHERE TO THE ADMISSION POLICY FOR THAT CENTRE

SWIMMING ADMISSION POLICY FOR ALL CENTRES (EXCLUDING THE DOME)

CHILDREN UNDER 8
Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by a swimming adult on 2 children to 1 adult basis
CHILDREN UNDER 4
Children under 4 years old must be accompanied by a swimming adult on a 1 child to 1 adult basis.


A weak or non-swimmer is defined as any child who does not hold or meet the criteria of the ASA/ISRM Pool Swimming Standard Award.
Weak or non-swimmers are restricted to the designated non-swimmer areas of the pools which are the small pool and shallow end of the main pool.


Anyone with known medical conditions, or accompanying anyone with medical conditions, that may affect their safety, should inform the lifeguard on duty.


Customers with epilepsy must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 16 and over) on a one to one basis. They should inform the lifeguard on duty.

INFLATABLE FUN

Inflatable fun sessions are for children and young people aged 8-15 years only. Participants must be confident swimmers.

Admission Policy for the Dome

Big Splash
1. Children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by a responsible person (aged 16 or over) on a one to one basis.
2. Children aged 4 - 7 years must be accompanied by a responsible person (aged 16 or over) on a maximum ratio of one adult to two children.

Other swimming at The Dome (when it is NOT a Big Splash session)
1. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible person (aged 16 or over) on a maximum ratio of one adult to two children.

Refund Policy for Big Splash & General Swimming & Ice Skating

Cancellations made more than 48 before a session is due to commence will be eligible for a full refund.

Any cancellations made 24 hours or more before a session is due to commence will be eligible to transfer to another session.

Any cancellation or transfer requests made less than 24 hours before a session is due to start will not be eligible for a refund or transfer,

Refund policy for Fitness Classes

Members can manage their bookings within the booking system, including cancelling and moving a booking.

Pay as you go customers can transfer their booking to another day/time if more than 2 hours before the session is due to commence. Please call 01302 370777 to arrange this. No refunds are available for PAYG customers

EVENTS

Conditions of Sale

  1. The Management reserves the right to refuse admission or to eject a ticket holder for behaviour likely to cause damage, injury, nuisance or annoyance or failure to comply with the reasonable requests of the Management.
  2. If admission is refused no monies shall be refunded.
  3. It is the Responsibility of the purchaser to check all tickets at the time of purchase or on arrival (by post).
  4. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase, except in the case of a materially altered or cancelled performance / event. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  5. This ticket must not be sold or resold without the express permission from the Promotor of the event.
  6. Any complaints about a ticket holders ability to view the event shall be made to the Promoter/Manager promptly prior to or during the event.
  7. Latecomers will only be admitted to the auditorium during a suitable break in the performance.
  8. The event promoter / management reserves the right to amend or make alterations to the published details of the event as shall become necessary.
  9. Neither the promoter nor the management accepts responsibility for personal property brought into the venue unless caused by the negligence of the promoter or venue management.
  10. All ticket prices quoted by the Doncaster Dome Box Office are for tickets purchased in advance of the performance or event. The promoter reserves the right to change the price.
  11. Processing fees will not be refunded in the event of cancellation or rescheduled performance.
  12. The unauthorised use of cameras, mobile phones, video or other form of recording is strictly prohibited.
  13. By entering the venue, you give your consent to being photographed or filmed as a member of the audience.
  14. Only food and drink purchased on the premises can be consumed in the venue.
  15. Age restriction - All under 14s must be accompanied by a paying adult unless stated differently
  16. Warning: Some concerts and events may contain sound levels which can cause injury to your hearing.
  17. Warning: Some concerts and events may contain strobe lighting.

Booking T&C of hire

  1. Interpretation 
  1. In these Terms and conditions, the following words shall have the meaning in this clause respectively assigned to them. 
  1. "The Company" shall mean Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT). 
  1. "Manager" shall mean the Management of facility in the time being of Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust. 
  1. ‘The Hirer’ shall mean the person (at least 18 years of age) or body of persons making application for the use of the equipment and those part(s) of the facility specified in the application for hire form. 
  1. ‘Period of hire’ shall mean the period during which the hirer is entitled to use the agreed part of the facility including time taken for entry to and departure from the premises. It shall include any time required for setting up/dismantling of equipment ‘ 
  1. ‘Date of Hire’ shall mean the day on which the ‘hirer’ is entitled to use any part of the facility. 
  1. ‘Booking Agreement’ must not exceed the current financial year and is subject to review after each period of hire is complete.  

 

  1. Scale of Charges 
  1. The charges for the use of the facility shall be confirmed upon application and will apply for the duration of the financial year, 1st April to 31st March. For bookings beyond the 31st March, a new agreement will apply. 

 

  1. Payment 
  1. Invoices will be raised prior to the start of each month for any bookings within that period, which must be made within 14 days from date of invoice. For example, for bookings in May, invoices will be raised and received by the Hirer at the end of April. 
  1. All other payments for all activities must be made at the time of booking and reflect charges as per The Company’s fees and charges. 

 

  1. 4.   Refusal, Cancellations and Refunds – The Company reserve the right: 
  1.  
  1. To refuse any application as it may deem fit without reason. 
  1. To cancel any booking on giving more than 24 hours’ notice. Upon any such cancellation the Company will confirm with the Hirer a credit, but the Company will not be responsible for any expenditure whatsoever, in relation to the booking which the Hirer may have incurred or be liable to pay. 
  1. To provide at least one months’ notice of the cancellation of a booking where necessary as part of a programme review. 
  1. In the case of 4.2 and 4.3 the hirer may be able to exchange their booking to another date or venue if available.  
  1. The Company must be notified by the hirer of any Dates during the period of Hire not required upon application. Any Dates of Hire cancelled during the period of hire once the booking agreement has commenced will still be charged for. 
  1. Restrictions may apply for certain activities. Refer to The Company’s website for details. 
  1. The clause Force Majeure is non-restrictive; The Company will not be liable to pay any compensation for cancelled bookings due to circumstances out of their control or could not have been reasonably foreseen. 

 

  1. Equipment and Premises & Equipment Hire Costs 
  1.  
  1. Any equipment used during the period of hire shall be provided for by the hirer, unless agreed by the manager of the facility used. 
  1. Any part of the facility used during the period of hire shall be left in a tidy and orderly condition at the end of the hire time. 
  1. The Hirer is held responsible for the effective supervision of the arrangements and activities in any part of the facility during the period of hire and for the prevention of disorderly behaviour and the Hirer shall comply with any reasonable request of the manner or other person authorised by him to make such a request. 
  1. The Company will remain responsible for Pool Lifeguard arrangements’, the cost of which will be included as part of the monthly invoice. 

 

 

  1. 6.    Admissions Policy 
  1.  
  1. All safety rules displayed at each venue must be followed. This includes use of photography equipment. Should a Hirer require any form of image capture during a session, this must be pre-agreed with a site Manager prior to undertaking any. 

 

  1.   Safety/Insurance 
  1.  
  1. Users are required to report any injury to any person using the Facility or any property or equipment damage to staff immediately. 
  1. Hirers must always comply with The Company’s activity capacities. 
  1. The Hirer will be required to comply with The Company’s safeguarding policies. 
  1. The Company provides certain insurance cover in respect of its own buildings, equipment, furniture and fittings. The insurance so provided does not extend to goods, equipment or things other than those provided by The Company. 

 

  1. Lost Property 
  1.  
  1. The Company will not be responsible to the Hirer or any person for damage to or the loss, theft or removal of and property brought or left by any person (including the Hirer) in or upon any part of the facility (including cloakroom or dressing room) and the Hirer shall indemnity The Company, from and against all claims, demands, actions and proceedings in respect of any such loss, theft, or removal or any loss sustained by any person of such damage, theft, or removal. 

 

  1. Parking 
  1.  
  1. Motor vehicles shall not be parked and bicycles shall not left in any of the exit ways of the facilities and the Company, shall not in any circumstances be responsible to the Hirer of any other person for damage to or the loss, theft or removal of any motor vehicle or bicycle (including the Hirer) and the Hirer shall indemnity the Company, from and against all claims, demands, actions and proceedings in respect of any such loss, theft, or removal or any sustained by any person the consequences of such damage, theft, or removal. 

 

  1. Damage 
  1.  
  1. The hirer is responsible for damages to The Company equipment and property during or because of the hiring. 
  1. The Company reserves the right to make good damages and recover costs from the hirer for such damage. 
  1. The Company reserve the right to charge the hirer costs of making good damage(s) to premises or equipment, or the excesses of any insurance claim The Company may have to make because of any damage. 

 

  1. Alcohol  
  1.  
  1. No Alcohol shall be taken into or consumed in any part of the facility (Except when purchased on the premises and consumed in the designated areas) 

 

  1. Catering 
  1. No rights to supply refreshments of any kind whatsoever shall be deemed to be given to the hirer or to any other person – unless formally sanctioned by Doncaster Conferencing, Catering and Events (DCCE) which is the Trading Subsidiary of The Company. 

 

  1. Food and Drink  
  1.  

13.1  Food and Drink may only be consumed in designated areas. 

 

  1. Rules/Regulations/Procedures/Emergency action plans   
  1.  
  1. Hirer shall insure that all persons associated with the hire comply in all respects with The Company’s policies, procedures, and other directions applicable to the facility including site Risk Assessments. 
  1. For bookings undertaken by employees of The Company, these terms and conditions may be overridden by Human Resources procedures.  

 

  1.   Breach of Terms and Conditions 
  1.  
  1. If the Hirer shall fail to observe or perform in any respect the terms and conditions herein before stated Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust may, without notice, determine the Hirer's right under the agreement.
