Pool Lifeguard Training Course
Want to learn new skills? We are offering training to become a lifeguard at our venues
Highfield Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (RQF)
- Course dates: Sunday, 21 - Tuesday, 23 December, and Monday, 29 - Tuesday, 30 December. You must be able to attend all the training/assessment dates
- Times: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm daily
- Venue: Askern Leisure Centre, DN6 9LN
- Cost: £250.
- Free places for 16–18 year olds: You may be eligible for a free place. Please complete and submit the application form, and we will contact you regarding eligibility.
Course overview
This five-day training programme equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to work as a pool lifeguard. The course covers:
- Water safety and supervision
- Casualty recovery techniques
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Emergency first aid
Important information
- Applicants aged 16–18 who qualify for free training will be required to complete an indemnity form.
- Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lifeguard/Leisure Assistant to work on a casual basis
